About Us...
Company Profile
Panatech was founded by our company President Henry G. Fiorentini in 1982, at the dawn of the PC era, just as IBM introduced their very first personal computer, and a company called Microsoft introduced IBM-DOS and later MS-DOS, the precursor to today’s Windows operating system.
Henry graduated from M.I.T. with a joint Bachelors and Masters degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He specialized in Information Systems analysis, working for Lincoln Laboratories under a US Department of Defense contract. He then received an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business while working for the Department of Economic Development at the Chicago Board of Trade.
He founded Panatech Computer Management in 1980, on the premise that small to medium-sized businesses could benefit greatly from this emerging technology. Today, Panatech is the provider of the FLEX-Account accounting software, and managed services (Protection Plans) for maintenance of PC Networks for these same small to medium-sized businesses.
Henry has written extensively on programming languages, and given lectures & seminars both in the US and in Europe. He wrote two books on the then emerging paradigm of Object-Oriented Programming in the 1990’s including The DataFlex Developer’s Guide with Object Oriented Programming. He's also written multiple articles for Visual Basic magazine (now Visual Studio magazine) for their ‘Black Belt’ section, including a full-page Guest Editorial.
