United Camera & Binocular Repair Corp. is the largest authorized Kodak repair facility in the country, as well as the authorized factory repair center for such well known and demanding clients as Canon, Fuji, Pentax, Konica, Minolta, Yashica, Bronica, Tamron, Kodak Digital, Sony Digital and Fuji Digital products.

 

They also do much of the repair work for such popular chains as Wolf Camera, Ritz Camera, Wal-Mart, Kmart and Circuit City. So if you’ve ever had your camera repaired, there is a good chance that it went through United Camera, a company that repairs over 150 cameras a day, 30,000 cameras a year.

 

Panatech has provided hardware, software, network, and total computer solutions since 1987. Panatech has installed and maintained their Novell and Windows Servers, as well as workstations, printers, bar code readers, and all related equipment.

 

United Camera uses almost all the Flex-Account modules, including Sales Order/Invoicing. Receivables, Purchase Orders, Payables and Inventory.

To help minimize any errors in the Shipping and Receiving Department, Flex-Account was integrated with an optical bar code reader so that the bar-coded Work Orders could be invoiced almost automatically when the camera was ready to be shipped out.

 

And because of all the shipping with UPS and DHL, each invoice now feeds the UPS (or DHL) computer with all the needed customer shipping information.

 

And when the package is shipped, FLEX-Account takes in the Tracking Number from the respective shipping computer, to complete it's invoice/tracking records!

To facilitate Payroll, a ‘computer time clock’ was installed on the shop floor and employees issued ‘bar coded ID cards’ so they can electronically punch in and out each day.  This information is stored in the central FLEX-Account database for payroll and can instantly tell any authorized person in the front office what person(s) are currently at work and when they checked in/out.

 

Because Johnson Power is a manufacturer as well as supplier, their Inventory needs to provide a flexible and sophisticated Bill-of-Materials assembly and pricing calculations, including dynamic pricing based on shaft length (which is always a last-minute customer decision). FLEX-Account does this, and more.

 

Even Quotes/Proposals are entered into the system, printed and faxed to the customer, and when approved are converted to bona fide orders with a single mouse click, guaranteeing that what the Customer was quoted is what we order. Work Order formats as well as Customer Acknowledgements and accounting Sales Order copies of each order can be printed out as appropriate in single page or report format. Reports include ‘Open Orders by Due Date’ so they supervisors can prioritize jobs for the upcoming week.
